Eeeeeeeee! I love the American Library Association conferences because of all the book lovers hanging out in one place. This morning’s announcements were an extra thrill because Libba Bray won the Printz for GOING BOVINE. I remember a hike when she was musing about how much courage it took to do something completely different–after her NY Times Bestseller books that were something else entirely.
Karen Kosko took this picture of us at the Bloomsbury booth with the Advanced Reader Copies of my bro’s new book, The Pup Who Cried Wolf–his very first novel. I can’t describe the thrilldom, considering that I vividly remember reading Charlotte’s Web to him. (He cried when Charlotte died.)

Hey Jane, I remember that hike, too. Thanks so much for sharing the happy dance with me today. xoxo Lib
